圖書館講座: 中國基本古籍庫 (Database of Chinese Classic Ancient Books)

《中國基本古籍庫》共收錄自先秦至民國 (公元前11世紀至公元20世紀初) 歷代典籍1萬種,選用版本12,600個。每種典籍均為全文,并附所據版本及其他重要版本之原版影像,合計全文17.1億字,影像1,150萬頁。其收錄範圍涵蓋全部中國歷史與文化,內容含量相當於3部《四庫全書》。此古籍庫是中國有史以來最大的歷代典籍總匯。

其總顧問劉俊文教授將於大學圖書館示範和講解該數據庫的功能和使用方法,讓每一位讀者都能輕鬆使用該數據庫,享受研讀中國古籍的樂趣。

Information Literacy Courses for CUHK Students: September - November 2009

The University Library will offer intensive courses from September - November 2009 to assist students in preparing for the Information Literacy Section of the Student IT Proficiency Test. The course provides not only an overview of the Web-based Information Literacy Tutorial, but also includes exercises and practice tests in:

  1. Formulating search strategies,
  2. Finding information using the Library Catalogue, research databases and the Internet, and
  3. Evaluating information sources.

Venue: User Education Room 2, G/F University Library

Registration: Complete the Online Registration Form

Users may request seminars or orientation sessions for a particular subject area or a specific assignment at any time during the year. Please contact the Reference Librarian for details.
