Access to CDLAN
(For CUHK users only)
Maintenance Hours: Every Monday 9:00am - 10:30am
With MetaFrame Client/Server technology, users from other LANs within CUHK and at home can access the Library CD-ROM network through the TCP/IP network.
Installation of an appropriate client software is required. ICA Web Client for Microsoft Windows 95+/NT/2000/XP (32 bit client) is needed so that users can connect automatically to the MetaFrame server to access CD-ROM titles. Please follow the installation instruction below. For Mac or Unix client, refer to the section on "Other Clients".
#Due to license agreement, CDLAN service is only available for CUHK users on CUHK network. You must connect to the ITSC's dial-up server, or VPN connection service.#
Please note the client software will only provide a "web" look and starting the program may take a while. In addition, the retrieval software are different for different CD-ROM titles. Please select only one title at a time and close the active title session before selecting another title.
