To meet the demand for access to resources, the Library is pleased to announce the following, effective August 1, 2009:

• Increase of the loan quota and loan period for library materials
  For staff and students, please visit http://www.lib.cuhk.edu.hk/LibPrivileges
  For alumni, please visit www.lib.cuhk.edu.hk/alumni/librarycard
  
  
• Increase in the maximum number of renewals allowed
  Library users can have 5 renewals during the loan period, an increase from 3 renewals under the previous borrowing privileges

All library items on loan are subject to RECALL and the loan period may be shortened. A borrower is guaranteed a loan period of 14 days but not necessarily more.
