While the primary mission of the CUHK University Library System is to serve the academic and research needs of the faculty, students and staff of the University, individuals not currently members of the CUHK community may also apply for the use of the Library with charges.

Access Policy

Library privileges are granted on a personal basis only and may not be used by or on behalf of anyone else. Users are responsible for complying with Library regulations and for all fees and losses incurred. The Library reserves the right to deny use to individuals that abuse library privileges or in any way infringe on the priority rights of CUHK staff or students. Due to licence agreements, remote access to electronic resources subscribed by the Library is available to CUHK staff and students only.

Charges

Category A: Teaching/administrative/professional staff & students of education/academic institutions, and staff of the Hong Kong government bodies, who are with research needs (supporting documents, including a description of the research, are required)

Borrower's Card:		HK$1,100 per person per annum Borrowing privilege: 3 vols. for 14 days
Reader's Card:		HK$600 per person per annum or HK$400 per person for 3 months

Borrower's Card:		HK$2,100 per person per annum Borrowing privilege: 3 vols. for 14 days
Reader's Card:		HK$1,100 per person per annum or HK$400 per person for 3 months

Borrower's Card:		HK$4,100 per person per annum Borrowing privilege: 3 vols. for 14 days
Reader's Card:		HK$2,100 per person per annum or HK$700 per person for 3 months
