Set up / Modify Your Password (PIN)

For CUHK students admitted in 2005 or afterwards, the Library Password is pre-set to be your birthday (yyyymmdd), please change it at http://library.cuhk.edu.hk/patroninfo.

For other library users, please set up your password following the procedure below:

  1. At the Library Catalogue, click " My Library Record ";
  2. Enter the ID No. printed on your Student/Staff/Library card. You may leave the Library Password blank.
  3. Click " Submit ";
  4. Enter your new Library Password (up to 8 characters of lower-case alphabets and/or numbers);
  5. Re-enter the Library Password for confirmation;
  6. Click “Submit " again;
  7. Your password is set up and you have logged in "My Library Record".

 

To modify your PIN (Library Password)

  1. Login to your " My Library Record "at the Library Catalogue;
  2. Click " Modify your PIN ";
  3. Enter your current Library Password;
  4. Enter your new Library Password;
  5. Re-enter the Library Password for confirmation;
  6. Click " Submit ", a message " Your PIN has been modified " will be shown;
  7. Click " Close Window ".

 

Forgot your PIN (Library Password)

If you have already registered with us your latest email address:

  1. At the Library Catalogue, click " My Library Record ";
  2. Click " Forgot your Library Password? ";
  3. Enter the ID No. printed on your Student/Staff/Library card
  4. Click " Submit ";
  5. A message will be displayed to acknowledge your request and for security reason, to ask you to reset your password via the link provided in an email sent to you;
  6. Click " Close Window ";
  7. Open your email and click on the link to reset your password.

 

If you have not registered with us your latest email address, please bring along your Student/Staff/Library card with you to the Circulation Counter of any CUHK libraries. The library staff will delete your password and this allows you to set up your Library Password again.

** To protect your personal information, click " LOG OUT " after viewing your Library Record.
