Access to Other UGC Libraries

By agreement among the eight UGC-funded university libraries, eligible library users may access the other UGC libraries.

  • JULAC Borrower’s Cards
  1. Full-time / part-time CUHK postgraduate / postgraduate diploma students
  2. Full-time Teaching staff of Terms of Service A and B
  3. Full-time Administrative staff of Terms of Service A
  4. Full-time Research Assistants

Eligible users may apply online OR in person at the Circulation Counter of the University Library OR obtain an application form by sending a stamped self-addressed envelope to the address below.

(JULAC Library Card Application)

Free of charge for application. For card replacement: $50. Please return the application form with one recent photo. The JULAC Card will be ready for you to pick up in person at the University Library after five working days.

 

  • JULAC Reader's Cards for Undergraduate Degree Students

All UGC-funded full-time / part-time undergraduate degree students are eligible for a JULAC Reader’s Card which will be valid for one academic year from 1st August to 31st July of the next year. With the JULAC Reader’s Cards, students can register for admission to all the other UGC-funded university libraries for study and use of their collections in-house.

Eligible users may apply online OR in person at the Circulation Counter of the University Library OR obtain an application form by sending a stamped self-addressed envelope to the address below.

A $50 registration fee will be charged by each host library. For card replacement: $50. Please return the application form with one recent photo. The JULAC Card will be ready for you to pick up in person at the University Library after five working days.

 

Notes:

  1. HKUST Library allows open access. Staff and students may use their staff/student cards for entry.
  2. UGC libraries may implement blackout periods to all JULAC card holders according to the needs of their own users. JULAC users are advised to check the webpages of the libraries concerned for details on the blackout periods.
