Reserve Books
Required course materials are put on reserve requsted by teaching staff. This collection includes Open Reserve and Electronic Reserve.
Open Reserve consists of books from the Library's collection which are shelved in an open access area adjacent to the Reserve Books and Special Collections Counter. High use course materials are placed here for browsing and borrowing. Personal books and loose-leaf items such as lecture notes, journal articles and handouts are shelved behind the Counter. Reserve materials are for short-loan, ranging from 2 hours to 7 days.
Electronic Reserve includes class websites and scanned images of non-copyrighted documents such as syllabus, lecture notes, problem sets and solutions, etc. In addition, full-text articles available from the electronic databases including EBSCOhost, IEEE Xplore, JSTOR, OCLC FirstSearch Electronic Collections Online, Ovid Web Gateway, ProQuest, and ScienceDirect can be added to the Electronic Reserve.
