How to search CUHK master theses and PhD dissertations
At the Library Catalogue (Full Catalogue Search) http://library.cuhk.edu.hk, select CUHK Theses to search.

- To view a list of theses by students of a specific department, conduct a Keyword / Phrase search with the department name contained in author.
Example: Looking for theses written by students of the Department of Chemistry
- Click on Keyword / Phrase
- At the search screen, select Author field to search, then input chemistry

- To view a list of theses of a degree type, conduct a Title search with the degree type as a search term, e.g., Thesis (M.Phil); Thesis (Ph.D.); Thesis (M.B.A.) etc.
Example: Looking for Ph. D. theses by CUHK students
- Click on Title
- At the input pane, type:
- To locate a thesis written by a specific student, conduct an author search with the name of the student.
- Click on Author.
- At the input panel, type the name of the student (last name first)
- To locate a particular thesis, conduct a title search with the title of the thesis.
- Click on Title.
- At the input panel, type the exact title or just the first few words of the title of the thesis.
At Library Catalogue 2.0,
- At the input pane, enter terms to search.
When searching the Library Catalogue 2.0 for theses for a particular degree type, enclose the degree type with double quotes to conduct a phrase search with the degree type, e.g., "theses ph d"
- At the left of the search result page, click on CUHK Theses under COLLECTION.
