Retrospective conversion was started in 1992 and completed in September 1997. OCLC RetroCon Service was chosen for the conversion. CJK titles were sent to OCLC for matching. 80,000 records were successfully matched and converted to machine-readable form. In August 1995, another 80,000 titles of no match to OCLC database were sent to OCLC for original cataloguing/input. The project covered titles of monographs, analytics, audio/visual materials, microform, and map. With the completion of the project all the CJK records are accessible online worldwide via the Library's Online Catalogue.
