    鄧偉賢先生(1939–2013)字德興,號希之,晚號企盦,先祖遠溯南陽郡望,1939年香港新界元朗廈村出生,祖父鄧照、父親鄧祥均為牙醫,有名於時。鄧氏臺灣大學中文系畢業,師從孫云遐(1895–1984)、戴君仁(1901–1978)、臺靜農(1902–1990)、李漁叔(1905–1972)、鄭騫(1906–1991)、屈萬里(1907–1979)、王叔岷(1914–2008)及孔德成(1920–2008)等文史名學者;畢業後歸港,任教柏雨中學及救恩書院。

    鄧氏潛研國學,尤諳詩文聯語及新界風俗文獻掌故,回港後於國學名宿陳湛銓先生(1916–1986)過從甚密,時與何乃文、何文匯、洪肇平、曾廣才諸詩友談文論藝,切磋砥礪;1991年鄧氏移民加拿大後仍魚雁相通,詩文互評隲,疑義相與析。鄧氏2013年病歿加拿大多倫多,遺著2014年輯《鄧偉賢先生集》,生前所藏翰墨2016年曾公開展出,普藝出版社梓行《鄧偉賢書畫信札珍藏集》,部分藏品後得其夫人黃燕冰女士慷慨捐贈香港中文大學圖書館,於2018年九月在大學圖書館舉辦「鄧偉賢先生藏書畫信札捐贈典禮」及「南陽舊物:鄧偉賢先生藏書畫信札展」。

    是次展覽展出鄧氏家藏墨寶如鄧爾雅(1884–1954)題贈其祖父之嵌名聯,並有鄧氏師友之詩文題贈、信札與及鄧氏本人手迹,包括臺灣學者孫云遐、戴君仁、臺靜農、李漁叔、鄭騫、屈萬里、王叔岷及孔德成,香港、海外詩詞書畫名家香翰屏(1890–1978)、曾克耑(1900–1975)、陳湛銓(1916–1986)、吳天任(1916–1992)、馬兆麒(1916–2013)、湯定華(1918–2015)、顧植槐(1919–2008)、蘇文擢(1921–1997)、陳一豫、何乃文、陳卓、何文匯、洪肇平、曾廣才等。鄧氏1960年曾撰七律〈過宋王臺公園感賦呈簡又文教授...
