This workshop can help you to:

  • Register for an ORCID iD
  • Manage your research outputs in ORCID iD
  • Link up your ORCID iD to AIMS

Author IDs - Making yourself distinguishable and discoverable on the web

This workshop will demonstrate:

  • How to set up an author ID and a researcher profile in different systems: ResearcherID, AIMS, and Google Scholar
  • How to record your research activities such as your publications and presentations in these systems
  • How to interlink your profile amongst these systems

Article-level Metrics - Understanding the Significance of Research Papers

This workshop will cover:

  • Where to find article-level metrics
  • The strength and limitations of different citation counts and metrics
  • How to use citation counts and other metrics to assess the relative significance of research papers
  • How to find an author’s h-index
  • What are alternative metrics and how to find them

Using Citation Analysis Tools to Enhance Your Research Dissemination

The workshop will introduce how to:

  • Find ranking of journals from Journal Citation Reports on InCites and SCImago for selecting journals for publication
  • Use Match in EndNote to locate appropriate journals for your manuscript
  • Use InCites to compare journal performance
