How to print, save or email a list of full records at the library catalogue
At the web-based library catalogue:
You have to mark the records before printing or saving them as a list
of full records.
Click on the boxes at the left of the titles you want to mark. BEFORE
leaving that page, you MUST click the button Save Marked Records
at the bottom of the screen to save the marked records of that page. After
saving all marked records, click on Export Saved List.
To print a list of full records:
Select Browser at the left column and Full Display at
the right. Then click Continue. Then, use the Print function of
the web browser to print the list of records.
To save a list of full records to disk:
Select Local Disk at the left column and Full Display
at the right. Then click Continue. Then, provide the path and file
name of the file to which the marked records be saved. You MUST change
the "File as type" to ".txt" if you want to save the marked
records as plain text files which can be read by word processing softwares.
To send the list of full records to an email address:
Select Email at the left column and Full Display at the
right. Then click Continue. Then, type the email address to which
the marked records be sent.
Remember to clear the saved list after exporting the records.
At the text-based library catalogue:
You have to mark the records before printing, saving or emailing them.
Follow the steps below:
When you are viewing the title list of records or the full records,
select E> Mark item for EXPORT.
Key the line number(s) of the records to export e.g. 1-10,15,20-25.
Press "spacebar" to continue.
Then, select N> New Search to return to the initial menu of the library
catalogue.
Select E> EXPORT/VIEW save list and then E> EXPORT marked records.
You can only choose ASCII Text Format if you want to print the marked
records.
Choose P> Print to send the records to an attached printer.
Choose E> Email to send to an email address.
Choose C> Capture to save the records to disk. You must use the screen
capture function of your communication software to start and end the capture
process. For QVT/Term, the function is Log File.
Remember to clear the marked records after exporting the records.
