A CUHK user may access the CDLAN at CUHK libraries or
from her/his own computer with appropriate client installed on it via CUHK campus network.
Web Access to CDLAN provides details on obtaining and installing the client software.

    Q2.
I tried to access a CDLAN title. The title did not show up no matter how many times I had clicked the respective hyperlink. What should I do?
    A2.
Minimize the window of the list of CDLAN titles. If there is not any sign of the CD title being loaded, click the title's link again.

    Installation of Client Software

    Q3.
Where do I get a copy of software for accessing CDLAN from my own computer?
    A3.
A preconfigured client for Win95+/NT is available at ftp://ftp.cuhk.edu.hk/cuhk/lib/cdlan-wfclients/ICAClients.exe; Client software for other platform such as Mac, Unix, Win3.1 can be downloaded from http://download.citrix.com while information on installation / client configuration is available at http://www.lib.cuhk.edu.hk/information/techhelp/wfc_inst.htm

    Q4.
What shall I enter in the "ClientName" field?
    A4.
Enter your machine name, your name or any term that may help you to select your own printer for printing search results.

Your printer will be denoted as [ClientName]#printer type, e.g. YourMachineName#HP LaserJet 4M, which should be selected before you print the search results.

    While searching a CDLAN title,
SELECT your default printer (or the desired printer you have access to), if such function is provided by the CDLAN title, before you print the search results.

Note : If you are using a DOS-based CDLAN title, printout will be sent to LPT1.

I clicked the printer setup function / select printer function but I was not given any dialog box / window for such purpose. What should I do?
    A7.
Minimize all the windows (the CDLAN title being used, the list of CDLAN titles, etc.) If it's still not there, try again.
