Using EndNote or other Z39.50 Client Software

What is Z39.50?

Z39.50 defines a standard protocol for information retrieval between two computers. A user in one of the two systems on which this protocol has been implemented may search the other system without learning the other system's search syntax. What is EndNote?

EndNote is a bibliographic manager software that includes Z39.50 client, hence facilitates direct connection to electronic resources that support Z39.50 protocol. For further details about Endnote, please refer to Endnote.


How to connect to various electronic resources?

A. UGC Libraries' Catalogues

To access one of the following libraries' catalogues:
  • Access may be via CUHK Campus Network or any ISP;
  • Username & Password is not required;
