Library Proxy Service Setting for Internet Explorer 6.x
A. Dial-up through modem connection Select Tools -> Internet Options Select Connections tab Under Dial-up ... settings, click on your dial-up service to highlight it then click the [Settings] button Under Proxy server, check the box of Use a proxy server ... then click the [Advanced ...] button For HTTP: and Secure: type at Proxy address to use : ra.lib.cuhk.edu.hk type at Port : 8080 Click [OK] all the way until the Internet Options menu is closed Click the [Refresh] button on the Standard Buttons toolbar
B. Local Area Network (LAN) connection (e.g. broadband service) Select Tools -> Internet Options Select Connections tab Under Local Area Network (LAN) settings, click the [LAN settings] button Under Proxy server, check the box of Use a proxy server ... then click the [Advanced ...] button For HTTP: and Secure: type at Proxy address to use : ra.lib.cuhk.edu.hk type at Port : 8080 Click [OK] all the way until the Internet Options menu is closed Click the [Refresh] button on the Standard Buttons toolbar
