Similar to watching a DVD, ULS VoD service offers high quality video through network. It allows University members to access via campus network on selected video programmes as and when required. These videos can be viewed on most PCs with functions such as forward and reverse play, pause and random positioning.

Before you watch VoD, you need a networked computer with a RealPlayer software ver. 8 or above. If you are a new user of the Service, please follow the steps here.

Other Programmes
At present, with permissions of ATV, RTHK and TVB, some of their TV programmes are digitised and are available 24 hours (except during maintenance hours) through the campus network within the CUHK campus. These TV programmes are also circulated in VHS format in the Wu Chung Multimedia Library.
No portion of these materials may be copied or incorporated into other works or resources without the copyright holders' permission.
Copyright Warnings
All VoD programmes are licensed for viewing only by CUHK staff and students accessed within the campus for educational purpose. Any public performance, other uses, or copying is strictly prohibited. All rights under copyright are reserved by Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK), Asia Television Limited (ATV) and Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB).
Any unauthorized downloading, duplication, reproduction, transmission, and storage in any formats of the programmes or any part thereof would violate the copyright restrictions. Violators would be subject to criminal penalties and civil damages.
Any breach of the licence agreement would result in the termination of the licence by the copyright holders and the permanent service suspension of the VoD and TV programme copies provided to the CUHK users. Please observe the conditions of use as set out in the copyright warnings.
