The University has recently signed the licence agreement (course packs) with the Hong Kong Reprographic Rights Society (HKRRLS). The two-year licence agreement grants the University the right to make and use copies of the licenced materials for preparation of course packs subject to the terms and conditions set out in the agreement.

As noted by the Senate, a copyright clearing office for clearing the copyright for course packs according to the licence agreement has been set up at the University Library System. Details of the copyright clearing services provided by the Office will be announced at the end of March, 2005.
