Mastering Data Management Plan in One Hour
A data management plan (DMP) is a written document that outlines how research data are acquired, managed, described, analyzed, stored, preserved, and shared. Some funding agencies require researchers to prepare a DMP at the proposal preparation stage. This workshop introduces the rationale of having a DMP, the tools for preparing a DMP, and the practice of creating and managing a DMP.

Introduction to R Programming and Data Analysis (Hands-on)

R is a popular software for statistical computing and programming. This seminar will introduce the differences between R for programming and R for data analysis with hands-on exercises.
- Participants are required to bring their own device with the software (installation in sequence) R (https://www.r-project.org/) and RStudio (https://www.rstudio.com/) installed prior to the workshop.
- Participants may install the R package swirl (https://swirlstats.com/students.html) to learn some R coding prior to the workshop.
