With the aim to create boutique humanities-based libraries on the upper campus, United College Wu Chung Multimedia Library (UCL) will be refurbished this summer. The entire UCL building will be a construction site during the renovation period. For health and safety reasons, UCL will be closed for the building works after the university examination on 13^th May 2018 until the end of August 2018.

During the renovation period, DVD, VCD and Local TV Programme Collections in UCL will be relocated according to the subject designation of individual item to CUHK Libraries. The entire Microform Collection will be relocated from UCL to the University Library. More than forty thousand volumes of Major Chinese Monograph Series Collection (AC Class) will be relocated from the University Library to UCL.

Since the print collections in UCL will not be available, a book retrieval service will be provided during the closure of UCL and the requested item can be checked out in New Asia College Ch’ien Mu Library. Further updates will be announced in due course.
