Research Data Management (RDM) covers creation of data, planning of its use, and organisation, structure and naming of data. It also includes how to keep the data secure, provide access when necessary, share active data with collaborators and more broadly publish and get cited, and archive the data when considered to be of long term value. Good research data management enables research data to be securely stored and shared where appropriate, allows verification of findings and supports digital preservation.

CUHK has prepared the Guidelines on Research Data Management to provide general guidance and support for researchers and students in managing, preserving, and sharing current or future research data.

To support CUHK researchers and students in managing their research data throughout the research life cycle, the following services are available from the Library. Feel free to contact us at data@cuhk.edu.hk for any enquiries on RDM.
