Writing Data Management Plan with DMPTool
Series: Digital Scholarship and Research Data Workshops (Sep-Nov 2026)
A Data Management Plan (DMP) is a written document that outlines how research data will be collected, managed, shared, and preserved throughout the lifecycle of a research project. Many funding agencies require researchers to prepare and submit a DMP as part of their grant applications. As an institutional partner of DMPTool (https://dmptool.org/), CUHK provides access to the CUHK Data Management Plan Template as well as templates from several major funding agencies. This workshop will introduce the purpose and benefits of data management planning and guide participants through the process of developing a DMP using DMPTool.
