Writing Data Management Plan with DMPTool

Series: Digital Scholarship and Research Data Workshops (Feb-Apr 2026)

A data management plan (DMP) is a written document that outlines how research data is managed in a research project. Some funding agencies require researchers to prepare a DMP in grant application proposal. CUHK is affiliated with DMPTool, on which the CUHK Data Management Plan Template and templates of some popular funding agencies are also available. Besides introducing the rationale of having a DMP, this workshop will provide the steps to write a DMP with DMPTool.
